Job description
Make an impact as a senior financial controller within our finance organisation
Do you have several years of experience in Financial Control and are you ready to take on more responsibility? At HeadFirst Group, you will help ensure reliable financial reporting for our Dutch and Belgian entities, improve financial processes and support the development of your colleagues.
You already have a solid foundation in Financial Control and are looking for an environment where you can take on more complex challenges, strengthen the connection between Finance and the business, and continue developing your own career.
Your impact at HeadFirst Group
As Senior Financial Controller, you will share responsibility for ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of the financial administration for our Dutch and Belgian entities. You will play an important role in the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes, while ensuring that financial reporting complies with IFRS standards.
Looking beyond the numbers is an important part of this role. This means analysing variances, asking critical questions and translating financial information into clear insights for the Finance Manager and other stakeholders. Together with three other controllers, the Finance Manager and the Accounting team, you will identify and implement opportunities to improve processes. Although the role does not include formal line management, it does have a guiding element through sharing knowledge, supporting other controllers with technical questions and providing clear direction where needed.
Why HeadFirst Group?
HeadFirst Group is a leading international HR services provider, specialising in connecting organisations with external professionals. Together with UK-based Impellam Group, we form one of the world’s leading talent and Managed Service Providers, combining international reach with expertise in STEM talent, workforce solutions and HR technology.
Our continued international growth also means that our Finance organisation is evolving. We are professionalising and digitalising the way we work while developing more consistent, scalable and well-controlled financial processes across the organisation. As Senior Financial Controller, you will help maintain a strong financial foundation while contributing to its further development.
What will you be doing?
Coordinating and carrying out the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes for our Dutch and Belgian entities;
Preparing, reviewing and analysing financial reports and management information;
Ensuring that financial reporting complies with Dutch GAAP and IFRS;
Reviewing and substantiating general ledger entries, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting data;
Analysing variances, risks and financial developments;
Translating financial information into clear insights for the Finance Manager and other stakeholders;
Identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes, internal controls and systems;
Supporting internal and external audits;
Guiding and supporting other controllers with technical accounting and financial control matters;
Working with financial systems such as AFAS and Workday.
What can you expect from us?
You will take on a responsible role within a Finance organisation that is continuing to develop. You will have the freedom to suggest and implement improvements, work on complex financial matters and support the professional development of other controllers. At the same time, HeadFirst Group offers opportunities to continue developing your own expertise and take on greater responsibility as you grow within the organisation.
Do you have a solid track record in Financial Control and are you ready for a role with greater responsibility, more complex challenges and room to grow? We would be happy to hear from you.
